Summer Reading 2008Catch the Reading Bug @ Your Library
This year's summer reading program theme is "Catch the Reading Bug @ the Blackfoot Public Library". The program is designed to offer incentives and opportunities for boys and girls to read during the summer months. As part of the program, youngsters may earn and/or win prizes as they read. They may also participate in theme-based craft projects and special programs. There is no age limit or fee for participation, but registration is required. Registration week is Monday, June 16 through Saturday, June 21. Weekly drawings, fun on-site programs and crafts will be offered through July. It has been proven that, if children will read five books during the summer, it will make their return to school in the fall easier. The Blackfoot Public Library is committed to helping parents and children meet this worthwhile goal. Don't forget....READING IS A PICNIC! Our 2008 summer library program
features the images of award-winning cartoonist and
artist/illustrator, Harry Bliss.
